Tej (rhymes with ‘page’) has spent the past two decades excelling in a variety of health care roles and is now a valued member of the team at Whiteboard Counselling (www.whiteboardcounselling.com).
Her educational background includes undergraduate studies at the Ivey School of Business, an MBA from City University in London, as well as a Masters in Counselling Psychology. After 20 years employed as a professional accountant, project manager, and pharmaceutical consultant, Tej has rounded out her career as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).
Tej uses approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy; Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy; Dialectical Behavioural Therapy; and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help create a safe, trusting environment with clients. She personalizes each session in a client-centred way, combining her counselling skills and lived experience as she supports a wide range of clients ages 16+.
Professionally, Tej is a member of both the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, as well as the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals.
On the personal side, she enjoys spending time with her teenage son and engaging in other passions including yoga, travel and baking. She cherishes outdoor time spent hiking or playing golf, and is not afraid to admit that she is a fan of very bad reality television.
