Talisa has been a passionate advocate for mental health issues since her early years. She has pursued this passion through an undergraduate degree in Forensic Psychology, and has also received a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
Talisa takes a compassionate, trauma–informed approach to her sessions and strongly believes in an individualized approach to mental health care. She takes a special interest in how past experiences and family dynamics inform her clients’ presenting issues. Talisa draws from variety of approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Compassionate Inquiry. She has a particular interest in supporting clients dealing with trauma, PTSD, and addiction.
Talisa has added many post-graduate certifications to her resume, including those focused on providing support for First Responders.
