I have been immersed in the field of medicine for over 30 years and helping people through their healing journeys and crises has been my mission. As a former medical doctor, I truly believe the importance of treating the human body as a whole was essential to great care. In a world filled with treatments that focus on dividing the body into multiple independent systems I take it upon myself to drive the holistic health movement. My wisdom is even more comprehensive now as an Acupuncturist combining my experience and training as a former family physician with Traditional Chinese Medicine methods. Today my holistic approach combines the knowledge and science of both worlds. My treatments start with a “why” – an exploration of finding and healing the root cause – which ends with relief and a fresh perspective.
In addition to Acupuncture other Traditional Chinese Medicine therapies that are part of my treatments include:
Tuina – Traditional Chinese massage and acupressure.
Guasha, uses a flat surface tool which is “scraped” gently across painful areas to break up adhesions, reduce inflammation and promote healing.
Cupping this method stimulates the meridians and circulation and soft tissue by applying suction through a glass cup. The cup my be left in place on the skin or moved around to accelerate a localized healing response.
My expertise focuses on solving PAIN problems, whether it’s a headache, back pain, TMJ or perhaps you suffer from fibromyalgia, arthritis, or nerve pain like sciatica.
My decades of family medicine practice gives me a world of experience and sensitivity working with Women’s Health conditions from PMS to reproductive health through menopause, cancer screening, recovery and prevention. There is so much we can do with acupuncture treatments.
Often I see people in distress from a body that is overwhelmed with exhaustion, fatigue and stress, anxiety and depression and we need to restore and balance your energy (qi).
I am fascinated with the results I get using acupuncture for skin revitalization and signs of aging.Becoming a plastic surgeon was a dream I had after becoming a medical doctor, but my devotion to my husband and children as a mother put that aside, but now with Cosmetic Acupuncture treatments I feel like that dream has come to fruition. I often get asked how cosmetic acupuncture can help rejuvenate aging skin but the results speak for themselves after a series of 10 sessions and no down-time or side-effects either My clients see improvement from the first session, and I always find them coming back for tighter, smoother and younger skin with this natural alternative to botox!
